Bungalow construction - Fitting out

We planned to have fitted wardrobes in all three bedrooms and chose a modular system from Wickes. Steve fitted them himself ...... with help from one of our two cats!

The kitchen was supplied and fitted by a local Northampton firm - Davis & Payne. They also supplied and fitted the floor tiles in the kitchen, family room and garden room.

Early on in the design we planned to have a gas fire, but our love of "real fires" eventually persuaded us to go for a wood burner. We chose a Stovax Stockton 5 which was supplied and fitted by local firm "Just Stoves". It puts out an amazing amount of heat compared to the open fire in our old home. The piece of oak timber across the fireplace is a railway sleeper which Steve spent many happy hours sanding and oiling!
